Fund Explanations and Notes
The Christian Education Fund
The Christian Education Fund (CEF) has been in existence for over 25 years and is governed by lengthy by-laws which direct the use and distribution of funds. Earning distributions are made to the school upon request to help fund financial assistance given to PND families.
The Stenoish/Manion Scholarship Fund
This scholarship fund, named in honor of two generous donors, provides annual earnings for scholarship assistance to families in financial need.
The Fulton J. Sheen Memorial Scholarship Funds
This scholarship fund, named in honor of Blessed Fulton Sheen, provides annual earnings for scholarship assistance to families in financial need.
The St. Cecelia endowment Fund
After the sale of the St. Cecelia properties, a portion of the sale proceeds were given to the PND Foundation Board for oversight and investment. The earnings of the fund are distributed as requested by the school to provide financial assistance to Peoria area students.
The Shamrock Fund
This fund was established to provide unrestricted funds to assist with the general operating costs incurred by the school. Each year, 5% of the earnings or appreciated value (whichever is greater) goes to PND to supplement its operating budget.
The Livingston Teachers Fund
This Fund was established by two generous benefactors wanting to enhance the remuneration for teachers. The fund distributes the greatest of 5% of earnings or appreciated value each year in August to returning staff. The first distribution was made in June 1998.
The Bishop’s Scholarship Fund
This fund was established by a generous donor for scholarship assistance. The PND Foundation provides investment oversight. The annual distribution is a major source of funding for the financial assistance program at PND.
