From the Principal

Just a reminder that we will not be in session on Friday, April 18th because of Good Friday. We hope that you are able to get together with family over the Easter Holiday and celebrate the many blessings the Lord has provided us.

As we approach the mid-term point of our third trimester, please help us to encourage our students to stay focused and continue to work hard as the school year ends. Good luck to our students this weekend as they take their ACT exams. Again, parents thank-you for your support of our school.

From the President

Our sophomore girls attended a vocation day with our Sisters of the Pierced Hearts, Dominicans and other Sisters at the Spalding Pastoral Center. The students came away with a deeper understanding of a Religious vocation. They had an enjoyable day.

These past two weeks we finished our Lenten Confessions for our students with the priests of your parishes. It was great to have the help of our local priests, all who have students here at PND. Please thank your pastor and parochial vicar for offering their time and ministry to help.

We are continuing our faculty/staff Scripture study on Wednesday morning at 7:45. It is so great to have our faculty and Religious engaged in scripture meditation and reflection. We plan on continuing this even after Lent.

PND presented our Strategic Plan to Schools Office of the Diocese and received positive feedback on our plan and how detailed and ambitious it is. We will make a few changes and resubmit the final plan in May. Have a blessed Holy Week and Easter of the Lord’s Resurrection!

Msgr. Merdian
