  • Following graduation, managed sports programs and facilities for Peoria Park District
  • Served a six year enlistment in United State Army Reserve as a member of artillery unit
  • During law school, interned under Peoria County State’s Attorney Michael Mihm
  • After graduation and passing bar exam, spent three years as Assistant State’s Attorney
  • Entered private practice for 25 years and was appointed Peoria County
  • State’s Attorney in 2011
  • Active member of St. Mary’s Kickapoo serving on Finance Council, Men’s Club, and coached St. Mary’s boy basketball
  • Assistant Director and Coach of Paul Reatherford’s Youth Basketball program
  • Carrying on 30 year tradition of organizing and supporting Paul Reatherford’s Christmas Food Basket Program
  • Partners with City of Peoria Mayor, Peoria County Sheriff, City of Peoria Chief of Police, and United
  • State’s “Don’t Shoot” program. Actively involved with ELITE Program with Carl Cannon
  • Involved in Peoria Downtown Kiwanis Club, Kickapoo Sportsman’s Club, Independent Sportsman’s Club, and Old Timer Baseball Association with other community service programs
