House System

The school is divided into a six houses, with two lead teachers from each house (1 male 1 female). Each House is a blend of Freshmen, Sophomore, Juniors, Seniors.  Houses may compete with one another at sports and maybe in other ways, thus providing a focus for group loyalty. Each House has about 150 students.  Each student is assigned to their house randomly, with the aim of balancing the houses in order to increase competition. Siblings  or other family members can request being placed in the same (or a different) House. House names are tied to the history of the school.
