- Bishop's Commitment
Bishop Daniel Jenky, the Peoria Area Pastors' Board, the
Administration of Peoria Notre Dame, and the Peoria Area Catholic
Community are committed to providing financial assistance for Catholic

Cost Subsidy
Peoria Notre Dame's projected cost for educating a student for 2008 - 2009 is over $7,000. The
difference between our cost per student and our tuition is made up through
contributions of the Peoria area Pastors' Board and through third source funding.
All families are expected to cooperate with fundraising efforts.

Fundraising / Volunteerism
A significant portion of the funding for each student's education
comes from "Third Source Funding." This funding supports
6.6% of the cost per student and supports other key programs for all
students such as the Cleary Computer Center and the Peoria Notre Dame
Foundation.
Every family is expected to participate in school-sponsored
fundraisers such as the Annual Benefit Dinner Auction. Further, families are expected to assist with
the work of our Parent Board and Booster organizations.
- Timely Payment of Tuition and Fees
The school relies on the timely payment of tuition and fees. It is an
unnecessary burden on our limited resources and personnel to have to
follow up on delinquent accounts. The Education Board has directed
that semester report cards and/or transcripts will not be released
for students with delinquent accounts.
Further, unpaid balances may prevent a student's continued attendance
at PND in subsequent semesters or school years. PND will pursue past
due accounts and in extreme cases will turn over uncollectable accounts
to a collection service.
- Tuition / Fee Policy for Late Enrollments
Tuition is based on six-week grading periods. Charges
will start with the first grading period, or fraction thereof, in
attendance. The Comprehensive Fee is pro-rated on full semester only
with no pro-ration for partial semesters. The Registration Fee is payable
in full regardless of enrollment date. Any past due balances for any
family members must be paid current before any other students from that
family are accepted for enrollment.
- Tuition / Fee Policy for Withdrawals
Tuition is based on the actual number of days in attendance,
but not less than $100. The Comprehensive Fee is pro-rated on full
semester only with no pro-ration for partial semesters. The Registration
Fee is non-refundable. Refunds will never exceed payments received
from a family. Financial Assistance will never be refunded to recipient
for those scholarships administered by PND. Financial Assistance will
be pro-rated the same as tuition. Unpaid balances due at the time of
withdrawal will be pursued for collection. Arrangements to pay any
balances must be made at the time of withdrawal.
- Financial Assistance
A limited amount of Financial Assistance is available to
Catholic families who show sincere need. To be considered, families
must apply for assistance annually. There is no automatic renewal.
Forms are available February 1st, at the Administration office and must
be completed and submitted no later than April 1st. Financial
assistance forms cannot be mailed from Peoria Notre Dame.
- 2nd and 3rd Student Discount
Families who feel they qualify for this financial assistance under the above guidelines need only to
provide a copy of their most recent Federal Income Tax Return form 1040, line 40, verifying their "taxable income"
along with the commitment form showing the selected payment plan for the family.
(If the family has applied for financial assistance through the PSAS form, we do not need
this additional copy of the Income Tax Return. You will automatically get the discount
as long as the above guidelines are met.)
For confidentiality reasons, we suggest that when this discount is requested as outlined
above, the commitment form (and accompanying tax forms) be mailed to the attention of the Financial Assistance Administrator.
As always, any family who has demonstrated need, but does not qualify for the discount under
the above formula, is still welcome to fill out and submit the PSAS form under the usual
assistance program.
