Diocesan Commitment
Bishop Daniel R. Jenky, CSC, Peoria Area Parish Pastors, the Administration of Peoria Notre Dame and the Peoria Area Catholic Community are committed to providing financial assistance for Catholic students whose families demonstrate both sincere need and desire for Catholic Education. Every family must make a firm personal commitment to meet its fair share.

Fundraising/Volunteerism
A portion of the funding for your student’s education comes from “Third Source Funding.” This funding supports programs for all students, the Peoria Notre Dame Foundation and ongoing capital needs of the school.

Every family is expected to participate in the Offices of the President school-sponsored fundraisers such as the Annual Auction. Further, families are asked to assist with the work of our Parent’s Board and Booster organizations.

Timely Payment of Tuition and Fees
The school relies on the timely payment of tuition and fees. A $30 fee will be charged for all NSF checks. The Book/Lab Fee is paid in full for the school year. In a situation where the student is not returning for the second semester or transfers in at the second semester, the fee is then prorated to a per semester rate.

The semester report cards and/or transcripts are not released for students with delinquent accounts. If an account is in arrears at the end of the school year, the student will not be allowed to attend school the following year until all prior delinquent balances are paid in full, or an acceptable plan is in place through electronic deduction.

Tuition/Fee Policy for Late Enrollments
Tuition is based on grading periods per trimester (6). Charges will start at the beginning of the first grading period that the student is enrolled. The Registration Fee is payable in full regardless of enrollment date. A past due balance for any family member(s) must be current before any new student(s) from a family can be accepted for enrollment.

Tuition/Fee Policy for Withdrawals
Tuition is based on 176 days in attendance, but not less than $100. The Book/Lab Fee is pro-rated on full semester basis only with no pro-ration for partial semesters. The Registration Fee is non-refundable. The Computer Lab Fee is non-refundable after the first day of school. Refunds will never exceed payments received from a family. Financial Assistance will never be refunded to recipient for those scholarships administered by PND. Financial Assistance will be pro-rated the same as tuition.  Unpaid balances due at the time of withdrawal will be pursued for collection. Arrangements to pay any balances must be made at the time of withdrawal.

Drug Testing Fee
The Drug Test Fee must be paid at the time of registration. Should the student withdraw, the fee will only be refunded if school has not started and the student has not been tested.

Financial Assistance (All requests for financial assistance are kept confidential)
Financial Assistance is available from PND to families who show need as determined by FACTS, a grant and aid assessment company. To be considered, families must apply for assistance annually. There is no automatic renewal. For your convenience, a FACTS form is included in this packet and must be completed and submitted to FACTS no later than April 1, 2010. If applying for the John Lancaster Spalding Scholarship, applications and FACTS forms must be postmarked by February 15, 2010.

Tuition, Book and Lab, and Computer Fees qualify for the Illinois Tuition Tax Credit under SB1075.
Statements will be provided to help families apply.
