KEEPING PEORIA NOTRE DAME AFFORDABLE

Seeing a bright future for Peoria Notre Dame, we envision a school that is better than or equal to the finest schools in the nation. But above all, we want to keep Peoria Notre Dame affordable, providing an exceptional, faith-filled educational environment that is available to every child with a desire to attend. One-way we do this is by keeping tuition low.

Tuition covers just 60 percent of the total cost of educating a student at Notre Dame. The Peoria area parishes provide $756,000 each year toward tuition, and the school relies on other sources to help offset the difference. The amount Peoria Notre Dame receives from the parishes and other funding sources has not increased; as a result, the gap between tuition and the cost to educate each student is growing.

Our tuition is one of the lowest in the nation, and we will do everything in our power to continue this trend. Unfortunately, the economic situation that has impacted our nation and our community has also affected the families of Peoria Notre Dame. More students than ever are in need of financial aid. Assistance for students totaled over $260,000 last year; it is expected this amount will top $300,000 for the current school year. To qualify for financial assistance, parents complete a form provided by FACTS, a national tuition management service. Peoria Notre Dame uses the FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment Tool to help allocate financial aid. A number of financial support programs are available to qualifying students. Need-based scholarships are funded by various organizations, including the Peoria Notre Dame High School Foundation, several endowed funds, the recent Rooted in Faith diocesan campaign, a general scholarship fund, the annual auction, the Pastor’s Board, and a new student sponsorship program called Fulfilling A Dream.

The President's Circle consists of friends, parents, and alumni who make an annual, restricted financial commitment of $1,000 or higher to Peoria Notre Dame. By joining the President's Circle, you become part of a select group of investors who provide much-needed financial resources for the school while also serving as an example and inspiration to students, teachers, alumni, and benefactors.

Membership in the Summa Cum Laude Society is open to alumni, parents, and friends who contribute a Fulfilling A Promise gift by promising to sponsor 100% of one or more student's tuition by giving $7,500 or more.

Membership in the Magna Cum Laude Society is open to alumni, parents, and friends who contribute a Fulfilling A Promise gift by promising to sponsor 75% or more of a student's tuition by giving $5,625 or more.
