Attend the Fine Art Fair

 

When:  Saturday and Sunday

Sept. 29 and 30

16 and under: Free

How to earn extra credit:

 

1.)     Pick up business card, brochure, or handout with artist’s identification.

 

1 pt ea—max 3 pts.  Write your name on the id.

 

2.)    Write a description of your favorite artist’s work. Make it in paragraph form.  Identify the artist and the type of art—sculpture, painting, jewelry, etc.  Explain why you like this art form, this particular piece of art, what the piece means to you.  Length—about ½ page.

3 points max.

 

3.)    Find artwork that makes use of geometry.  What is striking about this piece of art or all this artist’s work?  Describe the figures used and how the artist made use of geometry.  Identify the artist and type of art.  Write in paragraph form.  Length—about ½ page.

3 points max.
