Acclaim
Student Magazine |
Membership is open to all students. Acclaim publishes once per semester. |
| Anchor Club | Anchor Club is for Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors dedicated to community service. Membership is by invitation only. |
| Band | Membership is open to all interested students. Students are graded and may receive a fine arts credit. Contact the Band Director for a rehearsal and performance schedule. |
| Cheerleaders | Tryouts are held in the spring for all cheerleaders. Cheerleaders perform at home athletic events, as well as marching in parades and participating in other conmunity events. Practice is held daily after school. |
| Chess Club | Chess Club is open to all students interested in chess. Chess sets are available for open play after school on Monday and Wednesday. |
| Concert Choir | Membership is open to interested students. Students are graded and may receive a Fine Arts credit. Practices are every Wednesday and Friday at 3:00PM. |
Dance Team Poms |
Tryouts are announced and held in the spring. Meetings and times will be decided by members. Practice is held daily after school. |
| Drama Club | Membership is open to anyone who has an interest in Drama. Meetings and times will be decided by members. |
| French Club | Membership is open to anyone who has an interest in the French language. Meetings and times will be decided by members. |
| German Club | Membership is open to anyone who has an interest in the German language. Meetings begin in October. Listen to announcements for times. |
| Hockey Club | Membership is open to anyone who has an interest in playing club hockey. Listen to announcements for times of meetings and practices. |
| Irish Guard | Membership is open to all by audition. Irish Guard performs with the band when they march in parades, and for the 8th Grade Open House. Tryouts will be in May and September with practices on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school. Listen to announcements for tryout times. |
| Irish Pride | Membership is open to anyone who has an interest in supporting Peoria Notre Dame and encouraging others who do. Meetings and times will be decided by members. |

Jazz Choir
"Sound Foundation" |
Membership is open by audition. This is a jazz, pop, Broadway group with some choreography; however, participants need not have a background in dance. Practices are Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. Auditions are held the 3rd week of school, but "later comers" may see Mrs. Strauss for an audition. |
| Key Club | Membership is open to all students. This service organization meets every Tuesday morning in the Library at 7:30 AM. |
| Kids on the Block | Membership is open to all students. It is a community service program coordinated with Easter Seals and the American Red Cross. It involves learning to work with handicapped puppets to perform programs in the community. Listen to announcements for practice times. |
| Latin Club | Membership is open to anyone interested in the Latin language. Latin games and songs will be learned. Meetings are held twice a month. |

Liturgy Singers
Musicians |
Membership is open to anyone interested in providing music for school Masses. Students enrolled in the Christian Service Program will receive service hours. |

National Honor Society |
Membership is open only to juniors and seniors who meet the established criteria. Initiation occurs during the spring semester. |
| PND Carolers | Membership is open by audition. Auditions are held early in the school year, but "later comers" may apply for an audition. |
| Pontifical Servers | Membership is open to juniors and seniors willing to serve Pontifical Liturgies for the Bishop of Peoria and All-School Masses here at Peoria Notre Dame. After training in the fall, these young men and women should expect to serve once or twice a month. |
| Scholastic Bowl Team | Membership is open to all. Competition is based on a Jeopardy-type format with teams of 5 members competing. Practice is held all year long in the Scholastic Bowl Team Homeroom. |
| Snowball |
Membership is open to all interested in self-esteem building, establishing lines
of communication, and in a quality learning experience regarding the abuse of alcohol and
other drugs.
Students participate in weekend activities in February. Additional ongoing activities are planned. |
| Spanish Club | Membership is open to any student interested in the Spanish language. Meetings are held every month. Listen to announcements for meeting times. |
| Speech Team | Membership is open to all. Listen to announcements for meeting times and place. |
| Student Ambassadors | This group of juniors/seniors represents PND during visits to and from grade schools. They must be outgoing, well-spoken, and willing to present PND very positively. They must be recommended by their teachers and must demonstrate responsibility to this important position. | Student Government | Membership is by student election. All students are encouraged to participate in the activities planned by their class representatives. |
Study Seminars, Travel Experience |
Organized educational study and travel opportunities offered during school vacations and at other times. Trips include educational seminars in Washington D.C. as well as summer and/or spring adult-chaperoned tours of France, Spain, and other destinations. European travel is focused on the curriculum of Foreign Language study. Open to all students. Announced in the fall for the following spring and summer. |
| Teens for Life | Membership is open to any student interested in pro-life and chastity education. Members must be committed to these important issues in their own lives, as well as be involved in school/community activities supporting these areas. Meetings are monthly. Listen to announcements for times and places. |
| Yearbook | The Peoria Notre Dame Yearbook is called the Irish Odyssey. Membership is open to all students interested in digital media, photography, writing, graphic design, advertising, and layout design. Any software used to produce the yearbook will be taught to members...no previous experience is needed. Meetings are three times a week after school on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday at 2:45PM and before school on Tuesday and Thursday at 7:15 AM. Listen to announcements for further details. |
