Peoria Notre Dame Dance Team

The Peoria Notre Dame Dance Team and PomPon Squad perform regularly at home football and basketball games. They are also invited to other special functions from time to time. For example, they always have a very special role in the St. Patrick's Day Parade in downtown Peoria on the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

Tryouts are held annually; every member must try out each year. Selection is based on criteria established and described in the group's Constitution and by-laws.

The group participates in state competition run by the Illinois Drill Team Association with finals at the University of Illinois at the end of March. Competition rules and results are posted on the I.D.T.A. website. Competition categories are also listed. Furthermore, at this site can be found competition judging sheets to download.
